Michael Westen proves getting burned can look cool.

With season four of Burn Notice now in full swing it seems the show is as popular as ever, only supported by the fact that it’s already been renewed for a fifth and sixth season. As we all know by now the show follows Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan), a spy who has been ‘burned’ by the government. That means no money, no cars, no resources – nothing your average agent gets, except that Michael is determined to find out who got him burned and so begins his own mission. Joined by his ex-girlfriend Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar), he begins doing freelance private investigative and spy work for anyone that’ll hire him.
And four seasons on we’re still not quite sure why he got burnt, but we love watching him trying to find out. When asked what attracted him to the character, Jeffrey said: “I got hooked on the voice-over. The first page was a voice-over that said, “You know what it’s like to be a spy?” I love the idea that not only do I get to play a spy, but I get to play a burned spy and, on top of that, I can talk to the audience about what it’s like being a spy. 

 And throughout the few seasons he’s been well dressed in slick suits (despite the Miami weather) and a particular pair of sunglasses. He’s made these Oliver Peoples Victory shades his trademark, and although we’ve seen less of them recently, they instantly make us think of spy-style.
